Scenic Spotlight #001
With summer right around the corner, I’ve already started hearing the age-old discussion of “What do you want to do today?” and it’s always almost responded by the classic “I don’t know”
Well, I’m here to help with this issue this summer, at least for some people. See I’m situated in the big beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada and there usually is a never-ending list of places and attractions to see, but more often than not they cost more money than most people would want to spend to just get out of the house. This Blog will start to highlight the amazing places around Vancouver, and maybe other major cities one day, From 0$ - 100$, you’ll be sure to find something cool to do this summer.
Starting this list off in the historic city of Langley, BC. There is way more to do in this city than could ever fit in a blog or video. With it’s very own national historic site showing off the original settlers and how they lived, to the giant sports arenas and parks that are filled with life before and after school. If you look closer still you’ll find small hidden gardens scattered around the city.
Sendall Gardens
Located just 3 kms south of Willowbrook Shopping Centre is this beautiful small garden with an accent waterfall, benches, and boardwalks this is an amazing place to go for a picnic or have a fun photoshoot with your friends this summer.
Demonstration Gardens
This one is right in the heart of Langley’s core and is a Langley Environmental Partners Society (LETS) run garden. With an aim to educate and promote sustainability, members are able to rent a garden spot and grow the plants and vegetables of their choice. While the garden is free for anyone to come by and see, the staff please ask anyone to not disturb or pick any growing plants.
